‘Best ever result’ as two charities share the wealth

Back to News & Views

Gemini Professional Financial Group, the financial services group headquartered in Sutton Coldfield, recently held its 9th annual golf day to support it’s two Charity Partners – Acorns Children’s Hospice and Sutton Cancer Support Centre

Nearly 80 guests joined together for the annual event at Sutton Coldfield Golf Club. Clients, supporters and staff were blessed with another dry and sunny day to raise more vital funds for these two worthwhile local charities.

Chris Wathen, Group Marketing Manager at Gemini says “The Gemini golf day continues to prove popular amongst its attendees and we are thankful for the support of our sponsors and Sutton Coldfield Golf Club”

Director, Amanda Reid goes on to add “The support we give to both Acorns and Sutton Cancer Centre, I know, is appreciated by both charities. We have worked with them both for a few years now and we are very aware of the vital work they do in their local communities.”

Chris Wathen continues “We set ourselves a target to raise the most we have ever raised at one of our golf days. We held raffles, competitions and an auction on the day and we were delighted that the event raised a best-ever total of £4,000, which is split evenly between the two charities.”

“The day was again a great success. The support we receive at these events from all concerned is superb. We have now raised in excess of £20,000 through our CSR activities in the last nine years” concludes Peter Berwick, Director
